We are excited to announce our first book of the Fall 2013 book club season is none other than Sheryl Sandberg’s groundbreaking book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.
But that’s not all!
We will also be co-hosting September’s book club with a fabulous military-spouse-run powerhouse non-profit, In Gear Career! Amanda Patterson Crowe, military spouse and In Gear Career‘s Executive Director, will be co-moderating our book club along with NextGen MilSpouse Editor and MSB New Media Founding Partner, Adrianna Domingos-Lupher.

Why Lean In? How does it relate to the military spouse experience?
We feel that Lean In is the perfect book to help us, as next generation military spouses, change our career conversation from talking about things we can’t control and can’t change to embracing and pushing forth with the things we can. Military spouse employment continues to be a hot button issue in military family and community policy circles and as much as we continue to rally for resources, the time has come for us to look within ourselves for the courage and confidence to take charge our our own career aspirations.
