This Week’s Guest: Stephanie Seldin Howard, The Weight of Honor

Stephanie is the executive producer, director and writer for the documentary, “The Weight of Honor.” This film is the first comprehensive documentary to chronicle the lives of the caregivers and families of veterans who have been catastrophically wounded in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Our guest is Stephanie Seldin Howard, director of "The Weight of Honor," a new documentary chronicling the lives of caregivers of wounded veterans.

The film’s subjects are the spouses, parents and children who give a rare glimpse into their lives, as everyone grapples with finding a “new normal” after the devastating effects of combat-related injuries.

Filmed over 5 years, in many states, this journey reveals the thoughts and struggles of the caregivers tasked with the 24/7 care of once able-bodied and self-assured sons and husbands, but are now dependent on others.

Watch the movie, find a showing near you or request a screening on the film’s website and follow their social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
