NBC is searching for former military couples with big personalities and pounds to shed for a new weight loss reality show, “Weight For Love.”
“Love and weight loss are at the center of a new show that gives the power back to couples as they take matters into their own hands and drop the weight for good,” the producers said. The couples may be married, engaged or long-term dating, but both need to lose at least 100 pounds. The show’s producers are currently conducting a nationwide search for potential candidates via Skype and even though this show isn’t specifically targeting military couples, the producers would like showcase a deserving military couple. Retired and veteran couples are highly encouraged to apply.
In this noncompetitive reality show, “Weight for Love,” couples must also commit to separate for a “long period of time in order to regain their health, then reunite in an emotional reveal.” This time apart should be an advantage for military couples. Finally all those deployments come in handy … but no word about if the couple can send creative care packages to each other. And an emotional reveal? Sounds like every military homecoming.
