When I started blogging in 2008 on ArmyWife101.com, there were literally tumbleweeds on the internet streets of the milspouse digital community.

In fact, social media content creators were called bloggers—not influencers. Instagram didn’t exist, and for the most part, no one was making a living by just posting on one social media platform. In one way it was great to have this side of the blogging world to myself because from a marketing and numbers perspective, it meant more pageviews and visibility for me. However, I longed for a group of people within this community who blogged too, worked with brands, and whom I could share ideas with.

Fast forward to 2020 and there is no shortage of military spouse content creators.

From deployments to everyday military life, military spouse bloggers and social media influencers have become the epicenter of news and recommendations for today’s military families.
