ToAnh Tran is the founder of MilSpouse Coders, a nonprofit organization aimed at empowering, educating and employing military spouses who want a career in technology. MilSpouse Coders is filled with resources that teach you how to code for free. It is also a supportive community for learning.

Before spearheading MilSpouse Coders in 2015, ToAnh worked in the airline industry for more than a decade. She worked every position: ramper, trainer, supervisor, training manager, and lastly a flight attendant.

She started learning about computer programming about 2 years and hasn’t looked back. She is a Navy wife, mother of 2 and avid traveler. She’s currently stationed in San Diego.

The results are in from the annual Blue Star Families survey and the new top issue in the military community is: absence from home.

A Congressional proposal would reimburse military spouses for some license fees but Amy’s not betting that this one will make it to the final bill.
